I write about yoga, walking, and conversations to help us know where we are.

As we move from the wild weather of spring into summer warmth, let’s pause and reset. Lucile will still be in full bloom, and there’s a rare Blue Moon. Take that for poetry.

Let’s use the energy of spring-to-summer and a full moon for a recharge.

Friday night we will~

  • ease into a restorative yoga asana practice

  • walk to Cow Creek Bridge to admire the growing moon lantern

  • slide into a quiet bedtime

On Saturday let’s~

  • build breath and asana poses into a warm, energetic asana practice

  • hike Cow Creek trail as a meditation

  • sink yourself into a long restorative asana practice

  • learn and receive some relaxing Thai massage

  • use the full moon to walk the garden, bridge and/or labyrinth

On Sunday we’ll~

  • close asana sequences with a beautiful Sunday morning practice

  • integrate the weekend

  • share appreciations in a closing circle

Throughout the weekend we will

  • turn devices off or down to bring our full attention to our surroundings and recharge

  • hold space for each other with kindness, understanding, and good humor

  • share delicious, home-made meals made by the warm-hearted Brandy Henson.

Our attention gets so hijacked and depleted. Whatever does that for you, give yourself one weekend to take a break and focus on you. One thing I’m interested in restoring is this—bringing our attention to presence and surroundings right now. And now again.

All levels of yoga experience are welcome. These practices cultivate:

  • less reactivity to the world and others

  • flexibility, strength, and balance

  • ability to focus and concentrate

  • reduced anxiety

  • increased daily energy

  • emotional resilience

  • personal intuition and insight

Retreat includes all meals from Friday supper through Sunday mid-day dinner and lodging in one of our accommodations. Be nourished by delicious, homemade meals carefully prepared by Brandy.

Arrive Friday between 4:00 and 5:00 pm Mountain Standard Time. We ask that guests make every effort to arrive on time. We close Sunday afternoon with lunch and appreciations. Guests are welcome to stay Sunday night to quietly integrate the weekend and enjoy the Haven.
