Why meditate? Meditation cultivates

  • emotional resilience
  • less reactivity
  • ability to focus and concentrate
  • reduced anxiety
  • personal intuition and insight

This April weekend holds a beautiful invitation. The River Canyon is emergent and green with hints of warmth by day. The trees are budding out, the daffodils giving way to hyacinth and lilac. The moon will be waxing into fullness, brightening the canyon at night. It’s a perfect time to retreat into contemplation, beauty, and restoration.

Bring your tired winter-time self and busy mind to the budding springtime and healing energy of the Haven. We’ll weave short, guided meditations with relaxation exercises throughout the weekend. We’ll walk, sauna, have plenty of down time, and share delicious homemade meals made by Brandy Henson.

With respect, curiosity, and intention, we will~

  • prepare our bodies with brief, accessible yoga asana practice
  • carefully review and refine your meditation seat or posture for comfort
  • practice breathing, concentration, and relaxation techniques
  • practice internal dialogue to help quiet the mind
  • practice guided meditation to help focus the mind
  • integrate practices to access deep relaxation in yoga nidra, or yoga sleep
  • help you process the challenges and outcomes of your meditation
  • take outside walks, including a short hike on Cow Creek Trail
  • share delicious, home-made meals
  • enter optional Sacred Sauna as a meditation and archetypal journey to the well
  • hold space with love, kindness, understanding, and good humor

Beginners and experienced meditators are all welcome.

Retreat includes all meals from Friday supper through Sunday mid-day dinner and lodging in one of our accommodations. Be nourished by delicious, homemade Haven-harvested meals, carefully prepared by Brandy.

Please arrive Friday between 4:30 and 5:30 pm Mountain Standard Time. We close Sunday afternoon with lunch and appreciations. Guests are welcome to stay Sunday night to quietly integrate the weekend and enjoy the Haven.
