Spring in the Salmon River Canyon invites us to re-energize, find fullness, and heal.
To meditate is ‘to bring attention.’ To what? First to our experience breathing in a body, being together, surrounded by an exploding springtime. Then anything can happen. We simply allow, all within the safety of the retreat container and the healing powers of the Haven, River, and Canyon.
We will weave practices from Renée’s recent sabbatical at the Himalayan Institute, yoga immersions in India, and years of gathering wisdom teachings. We begin with the basics~ breathing, posture, and concentration, so beginners are very welcome. We build on the basics with pranayama, mantra, and guided practices. Weather allowing, we may dance, sauna, and walk to ‘bring attention’ with respect, curiosity, and intention to feel presence and heart in movement and with others.
The weekend will be nourished by simple, homemade meals using the stored bounty of the Haven and other local favorites.
Come for a weekend of supported silence if you prefer. You may wish for a blend of silence and shared sessions. You may want to snuggle into a wagon and read, nap, and just be still.
Retreat fee of $290 includes private accommodation and all meals Friday dinner through Monday breakfast. Limited shared twin accommodations available at $240.
Please arrive Friday between 4pm and 5pm Mountain Standard Time. We close Sunday afternoon with lunch and Appreciations. We encourage guests to stay through Sunday night to quietly integrate the weekend and enjoy the Haven.
